We provide ABA therapy right in the comfort of your own home. We work with children from ages 2 through 18. Communication, social skills, play skills, and behavior reduction are targeted using Natural Environment Training (NET)
Parent training is offered where a BCBA will help you to implement effective behavior plan to help manage behavior and teach new skills in home.
We can come to your aftercare, day care or camp to provide needed services and support.
ABA can be provided in school to assist with problematic behavior in school that impedes a child's ability to learn and make friends.
Please reach us at admin@coastalbehaviorservices.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
ABA is the science of changing socially significant behavior. It stands for Applied Behavior Analysis. ABA is data driven which means we collect data on the target behaviors to ensure we are making progress.
ABA helps to increase the quality of life by helping to reduce maladaptive behaviors which interfere with an individual’s ability to learn whether it be in a school setting, community setting or social setting. It also helps to increase skills necessary to lead a better quality of life to include communication skills, daily living skills, and social skills. This is a service that includes the whole family and can lead to the child gaining access to more enjoyment and reinforcers in life. ABA can also help with better relationships with family members by providing training and support to parents, teachers, etc.
If you would like to use your insurance, generally you will need a script from a medical doctor, neurologist, or developmental pediatrician for ABA services. A diagnostic report showing a formal diagnosis will also be needed. We can help to determine insurance eligibility and will have a questionnaire for you to fill out. Just give us a call at 813-401-2539 or email admin@coastalbehaviorservices.comfor more details. and we will be happy to help!
First we will have a consultation with you via phone to determine your needs and if we will be a good fit for the needs of your child. Next, we will verify insurance information and submit the needed documentation to request an assessment. From there you will have an assessment from a BCBA which will include an interview, direct observation, determination of the problem behaviors and reasons they are occurring, and goals that you would like to achieve as well as the recommended hours for treatment. Then the assessment is submitted to the insurance company for approval of ongoing ABA services.
We work with children as young as 2 years old up through 21 years old depending on the individual needs and client availability for services.
